Sister Cities International is dedicated to offering our members valuable opportunities to improve both their communities and their own careers. As part of that commitment, we have partnered with both the University of North Carolina School of Government and the American University School of International Service to offer our members $5,000 toward earning their Master of Public Administration or Master of Arts in International Relations online.

A Master of Arts in International Relations from American University’s Top 10-Ranked School of International Service (SIS)

AUInternational Relations Online brings SIS’s top-ranked Master of Arts in International Relations to students all over the world using cutting-edge online learning tools. Online students undergo the same curriculum, study with the same professors, earn the same degree, and have access to all of the same exclusive resources available to students studying on campus in Washington, D.C. Current concentrations include Global Security, International Development, International Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, and US Foreign Policy and National Security.

Sister Cities International's members who are accepted to and enroll in the International Relations Online program are eligible to receive a $5,000 scholarship.

UNC School of Government’s Top-Ranked Master of Public Administration


Delivered in a flexible, online format, MPA@UNC is a Master of Public Administration from the top-ranked UNC School of Government that prepares public service leaders who want to make a difference in their communities. MPA@UNC features live, online classes with renowned UNC-Chapel Hill faculty who serve as advisers to government officials at all levels.
