San Antonio, Texas and Gwangju, South Korea put together “First Virtual Pitch”

Embassy Seoul, South Korea put together a “virtual first pitch” with San Antonio TX snd Gwangju, South Korea. They worked with the two cities, along with Gwangju’s KIA Tigers baseball team to put together the “virtual first pitch” for this Sunday, July 19th, 2020.

Korean teams have been playing without fans actually in the stadium, hence the “virtual first pitch” between the Mayors of the two cities. It was broadcast on local TV in Korea, and the game was picked up by ESPN to be broadcast in the US.

The video linked above shows the amazing clip put together for their collaboration as sister cities and showing their solidarity as sister cities for a sport they both hold dearly.
