Sister Cities International Collaborates with TeamUp for Two One-Year One-Time Grants

Sister Cities International (SCI) is pleased to announce a pilot collaboration with TeamUp for two one-year one-time grants of $9,600 each, which will be awarded competitively to two pairs of medium and small-sized U.S.-Japan sister cities with a population of 100,000 or less. The grants will be awarded for the express purpose of developing higher education student mobility by creating new, or enhancing existing partnerships between colleges and universities in those cities. This week, Charleston Sister Cities International (CSCI) in partnership with the South Carolina Department of Commerce (SCDOC) reported that their recent trade mission to Panama City, Panama was a success. City Of Issaquah Wins SCI Award for Innovation in Arts and Culture

Sister Cities International's mission is the belief that cooperation across borders is more effective when we engage communities “one individual at a time." In this spirit, the City of Issaquah Sister Cities Commission launched a unique cultural project which introduces the works of artists from Issaquah’s Sister Cities to residents by wrapping electrical utility boxes in prints of the paintings.
