Maria Dolores Hernandez Montoya

Ms. Hernandez received her Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies from the University of Guadalajara, and her Master’s Degree in Governance and Development from the Institute of Developmental Studies at the University of Sussex, United Kingdom. Ms. Hernandez also studied Governance and Political Management at the Andean Development Corporation (CAF) in collaboration with George Washington University. She is founding partner of “Uno Integra Consultores”, where she’s had experience developing strategic and planning projects, managing work agendas inside and outside Mexico, and coordinating institutional and international events. She’s also worked in various international areas of public service. As part of the Directorate of International Relations of the City of Guadalajara, she’s had extraordinary participation and input in coordinating the UNESCO Network of Creative Cities, the UN Habitat Safer Cities Program, Guadalajara’s strategy within the C40 Climate Leadership Group, and the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate. She was responsible for the coordination of the Summit of Mayors of Sister Cities of Mexico and the United States. She currently holds the position of Director of International Relations and Migrant Services for the City of Guadalajara, the capital city of the Mexican state of Jalisco.
