Located in West Africa, the city of Salaga, Ghana is seeking a sister city partnership to share cultures. With a population size of over 117,000 people, Salaga has so much to offer from historical slave sites (former slave market, former slave wells and baths, slave cemetery), and Ndewura Jakpa’s mystic metal (Founder of the Gonja kingdom). The spoken languages are English, Gonja, Hausa, Chokosi/Anufo. Their main industries are agriculture and tourism. The city of Salaga wants to create a city partnership to learn from each other and create educational exchanges.
