Over the next five weeks, Sister Cities International is offering an exciting opportunity to win a chance to attend this upcoming international gathering of leaders in Cape Town, South Africa from February 20th to 24th.

Sister Cities International is thrilled to announce its “GOOD HOPE” raffle to support travel and accommodations for lucky recipients to attend the SCI – US Africa Summit in Cape Town, South Africa in February 2023. One drawing for a round trip airfare, and a second drawing for two roundtrip airfares and a hotel room accommodation at the Cape Sun Hotel in Cape Town will be held January 31st. The third drawing for two roundtrip tickets between Africa and the United States will be held on February 24, 2023. Both drawings will be held live and online. Obtain raffle tickets to WIN!

WHAT are the PRIZES?

Sister Cities International is awarding Five FREE airline tickets to lucky ticket holders.

On Tuesday, January 31st two winners will be selected.

The first winner will receive a single economy class roundtrip ticket (valued at $3,500.00) to Cape Town.

The second winner will receive two economy class roundtrip tickets along with a hotel room accommodation.

On Friday, February 24th a third winner will receive two economy class roundtrip tickets for travel between Africa and the United States within the next year.

HOW to participate in the raffle?

It is simple to enter.
Obtain Raffle tickets through the raffle button on the SCI Africa Webpage.

All tickets are eligible for all three drawings.

When you obtain a ticket, you will immediately receive an acknowledgement which includes your tickets.

Choose between five ticket levels to boost your chances of winning!

Tanzanite – $50 donation gets one ticket

Gold – $150 donation gets four tickets

Sapphire – $300 donation gets 10 tickets

Diamond – $500 donation gets 17 tickets

Platinum – $1,000 donation gets 35 tickets

How will the drawing be Made?

Both RAFFLE drawing ceremonies will be conducted live and online.

All winners will be notified within 24 hours of selection.

RAFFLE RULES AND REGULATIONS

This raffle is conducted by Sister Cities International.
The raffle will be conducted from January 17, 2023 – February 24, 2023, with tickets available for purchase while quantities last. Sister Cities International reserves the right to sell a limited number of tickets on the day of the drawing if any are available.
A maximum of 1500 tickets will be at the levels indicated above. The odds of winning are dependent on the number of valid entries up to 1500.
If more than one name is listed on the ticket, the first name listed shall be considered the “entrant.” Sister Cities International shall, will and can have no obligation for delivery of any prize to any person other than the entrant.
Minors may not purchase or have their names identified as entrants.
Participants need not be present to win.
Donations for the tickets shall be made online. All transactions are final and no refunds will be issued.
Winners will be picked by random and the winners will be contacted within 24 hours of following the drawing.
Winners agree to allow use of their name or likeness for publicity purposes without compensation.
Prizes to be given away in the raffle are: one coach class airfare voucher for one (1) roundtrip tickets to Africa (winner to be selected on January 31st), and; two coach class airfare vouchers for two (2) roundtrip tickets to Africa plus a one (1) hotel room accommodation (winner to be selected on January 31^st), and; two coach class airfare vouchers for two (2) roundtrip tickets between Africa and the United States (winner to be selected on February 24^th). Each Coach Ticket Voucher is valued at $3500 per ticket. Vouchers need to be ticketed prior to their expiration date printed on the voucher but travel can take place up to one year after that date through February 24, 2024. Vouchers may be redeemed for travel only with United Airlines, Inc., not with UA partners or subsidiaries.
Winners will be contacted by Sister Cities International. The decision of the President & CEO and the Board of Directors of Sister Cities International shall be final on all matters concerning the raffle.
The coach class airfare vouchers will be transferred to the winner “AS IS, WHERE IS, AND WITH ALL FAULTS”. Sister Cities International does not make or provide any representation, guarantee or warranty expressed or implied, in connect with the vouchers.

How do I participate in the Raffle?

You must obtain a ticket by going to the SCI Africa Summit Webpage and selecting the Raffle Button.

Can I cancel my raffle ticket?

No, obtaining a raffle ticket is final and not reimbursable.

How many Raffle Tickets may I get?

You may obtain as many raffle tickets as you desire.

Where can I view my Raffle Ticket?

You will receive an immediate acknowledgement which includes your ticket numbers and date and time.

When will the winner be announced?

Two winners will be selected and announced live on Tuesday, January 31st.

One winner will be selected and announced live on Friday, February 24th.

Is a raffle ticket holder eligible for all three drawings?

Yes, all raffle tickets are eligible for all three drawings.

Is there a timeline to redeem your prize?

March 1st, 2023.

Is everyone eligible for redemption?

Yes, everyone who has obtains a raffle ticket in their own name is eligible.

How long do I have to redeem my voucher?

Each voucher is good for a calendar year from the award date.

How does the miles voucher work?

When purchasing your airline ticket, you inform the customer service agent that you will be paying by airfare voucher. Your voucher is available for the route selection; in this case between the United States and Africa. The agent will either process your voucher or transfer you to the promotions department to complete processing your voucher.

Is my donation tax - deductible?

For the purpose of determining your personal federal income tax, the donation of a raffle ticket is not deductible as a charitable contribution.
