Planned Giving: Sister Cities International Foundation

Dear friend of Sister Cities International,

We hope this letter finds you well.

August is recognized as National Make-A-Will Month. By making a will, people assure their assets are passed along exactly as they see fit. The lack of a will can create turmoil for families left to deal with the assets a person has accumulated. None of us live forever. But there are ways to continue making a positive impact on this world long after you leave it. One of these ways is by donating to the Sister Cities International Foundation (SCIF).

There are many ways you can use your will to benefit the Sister Cities International Foundation — you can give cash, stock, real estate property, and more. Leaving a gift for a nonprofit in your will costs you nothing during your lifetime but will ensure that you can make a positive impact on causes close to your heart for years to come.

If you already have a will, that is a great first-step. This month, consider taking 15 minutes to look over your will and make sure it’s up to date with your current preferences. Your life and relationships change over time — it’s important that your will reflects those changes, too. If you prefer an easier and faster way to give to the Foundation, you can also simply designate the Foundation as a full or partial beneficiary of one of your financial accounts.

  • Implementing our Sister Cities International Foundation Planned Giving team here at SCIF is:
    Jane Gehlhausen, [email protected], 317-828-3379
  • Kay Sargent, [email protected], 859-396-7336

As a team, Jane and Kay look forward to being your points of contact. Please contact them to ask any questions about planned giving, the attached pledge form or how else Sister Cities International Foundation can support your philanthropic journey.

As an engaged volunteer, thank you for the many ways you have contributed to Sister Cities International. We look forward to connecting with you and your interests to consider designating the Foundation in your estate/legacy giving plan to ensure the long-term success of Sister Cities International.
