Nashville in Belfast – Sister Cities of Nashville

Sister Cities of Nashville is bringing “Authentic Nashville” to our sister city Belfast, Northern Ireland. We’ll be sharing and celebrating the music, food, history and culture of Nashville from April 28 – May 3. The events kick off with the Belfast Lord Mayor’s festival, featuring a Global Belfast theme.
Nashville Metro Council members will speak at the festival and Nashville artists will perform. On April 29, acclaimed Nashville restaurant Monell’s is hosting a VIP southern dinner. The dinner will be followed by the “Sister Cities of Nashville presents Kristian Bush in Concert at Ulster Hall.” Bush, a member of the duo Sugarland, is a Grammy-award winning songwriter, singer and producer. On May 2, the Ulster Orchestra will perform an “I Love Nashville” show featuring Nashville artist Mandy Barnett singing classic country hits.
Other highlights of the week include the Twilight Market at Belfast’s St. George’s Market. Our delegation will staff a Nashville booth, complete with giveaways, brochures and Nashville tourist guides to the expected 30,000 visitors. The Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp. is also providing a Nashville trip giveaway, which times nicely with Nashville’s new international flight to the UK (first flight on British Airways is on May 5). Music and food tastings will round out the experience at the Market.
