Dr. Akulli is the Director of Center for International Studies at the University of South Carolina – Upstate
(USC Upstate). He also serves as Vice President of Sister Cities International of Greater Spartanburg, SC.
His expertise and research interests are in international education strategic management, capacity
building, and sustainability through community and cross-border partnerships. Dr. Akulli earned his
Ph.D. Degree in Higher Education Administration from Michigan State University. Dr. Akulli can be
