Located near Lake Tahoe and the border with Nevada, the city of Truckee, California is seeking to create their first sister city partnership. With a population size of around 16,400 people, the city of Truckee has so much to offer from world class skiing resort (Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, NorthStar), Sugar Bowl historic sites, transcontinental railroad, downtown historic district, Donner Lake, rock climbing, mountain climbing, Pacific Crest trail, and is a California Cultural Arts District for its arts and history. The city of Truckee wants to create a city partnership to exchange ideas and create a long lasting partnership.
